Everyone looked at him.
"What?” Damien asked.
You’re a little bastard,” Alec repeated.
Damien looked at Dominic, then back to Alec and said, “Not understanding why I’m a bastard.”
"Little bastard.”
Damien’s lips twitched at Alec’s correction.
"Sorry, I don’t understand why you’re calling me a little bastard.”
Alec scowled. “Isn’t it obvious?
"No,” everyone said in unison.
"Unbelievable,” Alec said with a shake of his head. “You’re a little bastard because you bought the woman a star. A fucking star. How the hell can we compete with that?”
The question was put to Kane.
"Buy your girl two stars?” he suggested.
Alec scoffed. “It wouldn’t be impressive since buying a star has been already been done by the little bastard.”
"You could buy me a black hole,” Keela suggested. “I get sucked into one whenever you start talkin’ so it’d be perfect.”

At this point I think it is impossible not to have a crush on one of these brothers. if you've read all the books in this series you should already know who Damien Slater is. But you are wrong because you only know a part of him. you remember him as that tormented adolescent and heartbreaker. But Damien Slater is much more than the Damien teenager. It is true he has broken the heart of the very docile Alannah. And he took away a piece of it. but nobody knows that this is his most precious treasure. that in the instant in which he broke her dreams, he signed a silent oath. To belong only to her. even if there will not be a second chance for him, for them.
But when two souls are destined to beat together, there is no reason to hold. What has this boy so irresistible? his abdominals. Hahaha. apart from those his loyalty for that girl. Still standing that she gave him a moment of her life, a little bit of hope And really something inestimable. Really. How sweet can Damien be? He is is beautiful, and faithful, and protective and patient. He's perfect. But in his perfection there is always the shadow of his past. and this can make bad jokes when he least expects it.
What did I like most? Him!!!!!! She is obviously very beautiful and witty too. and has talent to sell.
What would I like to have more? more sexy scenes between them. But I hope to read them in the next novel about Dame and Lana.
ah .... another thing. the bond that these brothers have, never ceases to amaze me. Really.
And then ... aside from Dame, I have to say a few words about Alec! lol. He is really something else. It's crazy, and fun. But you will discover something about him that still does not know anyone. or better, only Damien knows it. and after discovering it you'd really want to hug him. That overwhelming detail made me cry for how incredibly beautiful Alec is, inside and out.
